Make it stand out

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

PRC4ECD Commitment to Climate Change: Our Children Today, Our Leaders Tomorrow

A climate-resilient future begins with investing in young children today. This was the theme of the ‘PRC4ECD Commitment to Climate Change’ side event in the margins of the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting in July 2022.

As part of support to the Pacific Regional Council for Early Childhood Development (PRC4ECD), and implementing the Communications Plan, it was a pleasure to work with colleagues from UNICEF Pacific, the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, the Fiji Ministry of Health and Medical Services, the Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mobile Kindy Fiji, to coordinate the side event.

Led by young children of Mobile Kindy Fiji, the event drew high attendance from Pacific Prime Ministers, Presidents and Ministers, as well as leaders of regional organisations such as the Pacific Community and Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.

At the event, Fiji Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama announced his acceptance of the PRC4ECD invitation to be a Pacific ECD Champion, and both he and Samoa Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata’afa delivered remarks urging fellow Pacific leaders to invest in young children’s development as part of building resilience to climate change and its impacts.
