Co-author, DevPolicy Blog, Localising Pacific consulting (8 November 2021)

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been rumblings of its potential to rebalance existing inequalities. Development commentators noted border closures were accelerating localisation efforts, creating new opportunities for local leadership in humanitarian spaces.

It was a privilege to speak with fellow Pacific consultants about their experiences for a DevPolicy Blog article, Localising Pacific consulting, co-authored with Nicollette Goulding. As a recent entrant to consulting life, I related to their perspectives and learned so much from their experiences.

As with any career or vocation, there are learning and growth opportunities within consulting. For all its challenges (and there are many!), I am finding it an enriching experience, allowing me to practice my values, grow and collaborate with others, and ultimately do meaningful work that makes a positive impact.
